People buy from people, and LinkedIn is where you can prove you're one

As AI makes everything easier to produce, real people get easier to doubt. Why LinkedIn is still the best place to start a business conversation.

I say this on almost every call: people buy from people.

And right now people are looking harder for that than ever. AI has made it easy to produce anything, a website, a newsletter, a hundred emails before lunch. I use it every day and I love it. But it also means a buyer looks at a polished message and quietly wonders whether anyone is actually behind it.

LinkedIn answers that question before you even ask, and it's why LinkedIn is still where I'd start B2B lead generation.

You can't really fake a LinkedIn profile

Your job, your company, how long you've been there, who you're connected to, what you've posted. It's all right there, and the people you know would notice if it were wrong.

So when a message arrives from a real person with a real history, the reader can check in a few seconds that you are who you say you are. That's most of what trust is at the start of a business conversation.

It's also why outreach goes out from my clients' own profiles. The person receiving it sees a real business owner with mutual connections and a track record.

What that means for you

You don't need to be the loudest person on LinkedIn. You need a profile that clearly shows who you are and who you help, and messages that sound like you talking to someone you'd like to work with.

Everything else, the targeting, the follow-up, the timing, can be handled. The part that can't be faked is you, and on LinkedIn that's the part that does the selling.

Questions people ask

Is LinkedIn good for B2B lead generation?

Yes, especially when one client is worth thousands. Your buyers are there under their real names and job titles, so you can find the exact people you want, and they can check who you are before they reply.

Is LinkedIn outreach still worth it now that everyone uses AI?

Yes, maybe more than before. AI makes polished messages easy for everyone, so a real person with a real history stands out. I use AI every day. The part that does the selling is still you.

Do I need to post on LinkedIn to get leads from it?

It helps over time, but you don't have to be the loudest person there. A clear profile and messages that sound like you are enough to start good conversations.

I run LinkedIn outreach from your own profile, in your voice, so the conversations start with the person they'll end with. Book a call with me.
